They may be fine for lawn mowing, but does not have knowledge or experience in landscaping. I hired him to lay down mulch to control weeds under a row in pine trees that surround my front yard. I assumed he wouldn't take the job if he didn't know how to do it. Mike did tell me he was not a landscape designer, but he could lay mulch. I could have done a better job myself. There are bare spots and weeds were growing all over just a few days after he said he had completed the work. He did no edging whatsoever. He told me did didn't like the plastic edging often used, but I did not take that to mean there would be nothing done. I thought he would at least trench the edges so it would have a nice clean look. I was wrong. He did not even tell me he was done. I had no clue until I got the bill because it didn't look done. I sent him a note letting him know the project was not done to my satisfaction and offering him the opportunity to fix it. He opted not to do that, but refunded $480 of the $1250 he charged for the service. He also estimated the job at $950 but needed to obtain an additional 5 cubic yards of mulch adding $300. Mike seemed like a nice enough person, but I can't recommend his services for any kind of landscaping.
