We are so pleased with the MJS team – we worked extensively with Tracy and Raul and we received exceptional advice and service from the beginning of the project to the end of the project! Our yard was full of dead and oversized trees, scraggy bushes, uneven grass, dangerous steps to the backyard and a tired landscape. We gave Tracy a blank slate to design and asked her to assume that we’d be willing to take down any and all trees/bushes so that she could come up with a cohesive plan and fill the property with viable trees/bushes. We trusted Tracy to come up with a cohesive plan and work with the few elements we wanted to retain but generally we gave her free rein to design. We gave Tracy some pictures and requested a few particular plants. She took these elements and her design plan was outstanding! Our only tweak was to swap out some of the flowers! In addition, her design plan to fix the steps from the front of the house to the back of the house (which were becoming dangerously uneven) was exceptional and she tied together the front and the back with stone and rock. She addressed some water flow needs by creating riverbeds to handle rainwater. She also added accents lights which make the property beautiful at night. Tracy prepared a 3D design which helped us visualize the concept. The team that implemented the plan was led by Raul and he and his team are exceptionally talented. He turned Tracy’s beautiful design plan into reality. We were in contact with Raul to address normal course matters that arise during big landscape projects. For example, we ended up creating an unplanned second riverbed to address some drainage issues that arose because of a heavy rainfall during the project. Their ability to implement changes so quickly was amazing. The before and after pictures are stunning and we have complete strangers slow down as they drive by the house and compliment the landscaping. We would highly recommend Tracy, Raul and the MJS team – they take great pride in their work and they designed and built a beautiful place for us to enjoy as a family. We are very grateful for their amazing work that we will enjoy for years to come.

Our new construction landscape efforts started with the designer, Tracy. She was incredible. We had a few ideas around what we wanted and Tracy put together a terrific plan, including hardscape and included a 3D walk through. She kept us apprised of the timeline and did a lot of follow up.The landscapers were very courteous and kept the work areas clean. I thought they did a good job preparing the area for sod and plants. We had a lot of gravel and rocks that they took care of before doing the plantings. They also worked seamlessly with DJ's Sprinkler to install irrigation. We were leaving town a day after they completed the work and Doug Laak (Operations Manager) came and watered everything a couple of times while we were gone. We couldn't have been happier with the process and results.

We selected MJS Landscaping Services for a comprehensive landscaping project at our new custom home, and the results are simply stunning. From the initial design consultation through completion, the entire team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. The scope of work was substantial — natural stone outcropping walls and accent boulders, dimensional stone steps, a beautifully paved patio, pergola with masonry pergola columns, buried downspouts, full lawn installation, and an extensive planting plan with trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, and perennials. Every single element was executed with care and precision. What truly sets MJS apart is the quality of their craftsmanship. The natural stonework looks like it has always belonged on the property. The masonry pergola columns are architectural-grade work — they rival anything you'd see in a high-end landscape portfolio. The planting selections are thoughtful and curated, chosen for both seasonal interest and long-term beauty. The team was communicative, respectful of the property, and kept the job site clean throughout. The project came in as proposed with no surprises, which speaks volumes about their integrity and professionalism. If you are investing in a high-quality home and want landscaping that matches that level, look no further than MJS. They are the real deal — talented designers and craftsmen who deliver exactly what they promise. Highest possible recommendation.

We have been clients of MJS and we especially liked the service and quality of work for a major redo of all the old landscaping at our current home. Heather did an amazing job of listening to what we liked and didn’t like and then created a beautiful new version of our yard. Doug and Luis worked very hard to make the plan come to life. Every night they cleaned the driveway off and kept a very organized and neat job site. I always recommend my clients to MJS. If you want excellent customer care and a well thought out design then they will make it happen. So pleased!!

Our experience with MJS was excellent from start to finish. After visiting our home and listening to what we were hoping to create, our landscape designer came up with a comprehensive plan that we could view electronically and tweak easily to get to a final plan. The construction crew worked extremely well together and put in very long, full days. They were courteous, clean, and professional. There was strong communication daily from the construction crew, supervisors, and our designer, who was on site several times a week. We felt our opinions during construction were welcomed and valued. Overall we can say MJS was our best contractor experience and created a beautiful space that we will enjoy for many years to come.
