I live in the country in WI where the state bird is the Mosquito. Summer is always an issue enjoying the outdoors with these pests. I have had Tina D come out and she went the extra mile to make sure my property was free of these critters. She was professional, very knowledgeable and gave me some great tips on how I can help. The service has been fantastic and the mosquitos are managed. I have requested that Tina D continue as my only technician as she has been the only one who truly cares about to resolve my issue.

For the second straight year, some of my grass died off after you performed your service. Frustrating. You told me last year to aerate the yard/patches and re-seed it. I spent an additional $1000 on grass seed and renting the aerator plus my entire day. I watered and then your service sprayed and killed some of the grass. I have sparse grass areas the never seem to fill in, unlike what your technician writes on his service statement. You asked for feedback and I'm sorry this is what I am giving. I've paid nearly $3500 in your service and my seeding over the last two years in hope you would have established a quality lawn for my daughter's wedding in the backyard. It's not going to happen.

I’ve had non-stop issues with TruGreen over the past few years. My house was hit by the aeration machine along with a gutter cap, both of which needed to be fixed. Their overseeing services hasn’t shown any results in the past 2 years, but when I plant my own seed it takes just fine. Most recently they spilled a whole bag of fertilizer in my driveway/road and didn’t clean it up. Their fertilizer machine must have been broken because I had mounds of fertilizer throughout my lawn and my grass around those areas is now dead. I called to get it looked at and they said it was insect damage even though I have before and after pictures. I couldn’t even hear the person clearly in the phone when I cancelled my services. I’m giving a one star only because the manager is responsive and did attempt to resolve the issue but I’d avoid these services. You are better off just leaving your lawn alone.

TruGreen gets a lot of crap but honestly it costs me 3x as much to apply the same products and that’s just if I do granular applications while TruGreen out here spraying liquid herbicide and pre-emergent. The tech I’ve had has been great, they are applying a second round of broadleaf herbicide for free because my clover was so bad this year. I really have no complaints and I do have quite high standards for lawn care. Recommended.

Update 2- changing 1 star rating to 3. Cautiously Positive. 4 weeks after the 2nd repeated treatment: the lawn is looking much better. The weed problems seem to be under control. Take away is make sure you let TruGreen know if the results are not up to expectations; then you have to let them know. Update: After 2 repeat services, the dandelions are dying back but the crab grass and other weeds are still there. Late fall 2022, we decided to give TrueGreen a try due to a recommendation from our landscaping designer. We prepaid for 6 treatments for a discount. They came out to fertilize in September but missed a huge section. Obviously the bad result showed this spring along with large amount of weeds. The spring treatment supposed to prevent emerging weeds. That didn’t work. Retreated and the weeds are blooming now! Meanwhile, they claimed the retreatments are free, but my prepaid treatment was deducted. The TrueGreen App is terrible. It changes day to day about how many treatments I have left prepaid. I spoke with the service guy and watched them while they apply the chemical. Boy, they are so quick that i don’t know how thorough the application was. I trust that they know what they are doing but so far the results are not good.
