What does a featured listing actually change?
A featured listing carries a Featured badge, sits at the top of its city and service lists, appears in the carousel on the directory hub, gets a photo gallery of up to 6 images, and reaches us through priority support. Its page also runs with no ads, so a homeowner who lands on it sees your phone number, your hours, and your reviews, not a banner for someone else. It changes placement and presentation. It does not change your licence status, your rating, your review count, or anything else we publish about the work.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Billing is a normal Stripe subscription, monthly or yearly, and you can cancel from the receipt Stripe emails you. The featured placement runs to the end of the period you already paid for, then the listing returns to the free tier with all of its data intact.
Does paying change my reviews or rating?
No. Ratings and review counts come from Google and Yelp and are shown with the source named. Licence badges come from the state pesticide applicator register. Nothing on a paid listing is written, edited, or removed by us, and a featured listing is labelled as a paid placement wherever it appears.
How do you mark paid placement?
Anywhere a featured company appears ahead of another, it carries the Featured badge, and that badge means the business pays $79 a month or $699 a year for the position. Licence badges, ratings, review counts, and the order of every unpaid listing are decided by the data alone and cannot be bought.
How do you verify a claim?
We send a confirmation link to the email address already published for the business and the claim completes when someone opens it. When a listing has no email on file, we review the claim by hand and confirm it by email. Either way, verification runs on contact details the business published itself, not on anything you type into our form.
