Why we built it
The number one thing people do here is simple: they want to know what grass they have, because every care decision flows from that. When to fertilize, how short to mow, whether that brown patch is drought stress or disease. The website answers that question well, but your lawn does not live in a browser tab. It lives outside, where your phone is already in your pocket.
So we put the whole thing in an app, and then kept going.
What the app does
Scan your lawn, get an answer
Point your camera at your grass and the app identifies it in seconds, with a confidence score and the reasons behind the call. No more squinting at blade-shape diagrams trying to decide if that is a boat-shaped tip or not. There is a Diagnose mode too: photograph a brown spot or a mystery weed and get likely causes with a practical next step.
A care plan built for your yard
Once the app knows your grass type, your ZIP code, and your lawn size, it builds a week-by-week plan: what to do, when to do it, and why. Mowing height, watering, feeding, pre-emergent timing, all matched to your region and the actual season, not generic advice written for someone three climate zones away.
Track your lawn through the year
Log mows, feedings, and photos in the journal. Watch soil temperature for your area so you hit seeding and pre-emergent windows instead of guessing. The app keeps score of where your lawn stands and what deserves attention next.
Ask a question when things get weird
Brown spots, weeds you cannot name, a patch that will not fill in. The built-in lawn coach answers questions about your specific lawn, using what the app already knows about your grass and your region.
What it costs
The app is free to download and the core is free to use: grass identification, your care plan, the journal, and the tools. There is a Premium subscription for folks who want more scans, deeper diagnostics, and the full season toolkit, with a 14-day free trial if you want to kick the tires, but you can get real value without paying a cent.

iPhone first, because we had to start somewhere. If you are on Android, the website is not going anywhere, and everything your account saves syncs between the app and the site.
