  I cannot say enough great things about this experience! From the first phone call I made inquiring about services all the way through to project completion, every step of the process was full of pleasant interactions with the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Avant. Tim was absolutely fantastic to work with and really took the time to understand what I wanted (and what I didn't!) for this rather large project to completely redesign the front yard. The crew members (Brandon, Liam, and Jack) were all delightful and did such incredible work to make this massive transformation happen. They even spotted and rescued a lost tortoise that we are hopeful will be reunited with its family soon! It was really such a pleasure working with Avant from beginning to end - so much so that I have begged them to return next year to tackle the backyard!

  We have used Avant twice, once in our old house on a small project on which Tim worked with us, and now on a larger project in our new house with Becky. Both people were easy to work with, and did an excellent job determining what we wanted, and explained the process fully. On our most recent job, Becky checked in with us several times, and was flexible when we made some changes to the plan once we got to know our new property better. The staff who did the landscaping and planting were thorough, and friendly. The quality of the plantings are excellent. Becky always responded quickly if we had questions. She had good understanding of different types of plants and trees that would work well on our property and happily educated us on why she was choosing them. We would definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

  Expensive and if anything made our backyard water/drainage issues worse. We understand that's not always an easy problem to solve but the standing water in our yard is as bad as it's ever been (multiple neighbors have mentioned noticing this-completely unprompted). We wouldn't be as disappointed with the lack of help with drainage issues if we feel like the work had been done according to the original plan/agreement, but the "grading" we paid for was barely actually done save for a few piles of dirt that didn't come up nearly high enough to do anything, and the landscaping areas that were also done (mulch, bushes, rain garden, rock bed) don't even look good and we will basically be starting from square 1 ourselves next summer $6000 in the hole. Wish we would've just done the project ourselves as I think we could have done a better job for 1/4 of the cost. They also broke our hose and just left a note about it which we didn't find out about until I went out to water the next day. Waited half the summer for them to be able to come do the project then spent the rest of the summer going back and forth with them about what we were unhappy with, they came back again and did some more lackluster work, and we eventually settled on receiving a very small amount of money back for our troubles/lack of work being completed. Would recommend doing the project yourself if you're considering going with them, I wish we would have.

  We used Avant for Landscaping design and installation in our back yard. Specifically we were looking for installation of screening plants and trees. We worked with Tim throughout the whole process and are very happy with how everything went. From design to installation, Tim was very responsive and kind. The work done was quick and professional. We couldn't be happier with how everything went. I love looking out into my backyard now!

  Avant came and did our fall clean up just recently. We have several huge areas requiring cutback. They were fast, efficient, neat and professional. My husband and I were both impressed with the fact that everything looks neatly cut back, not hacked off and the work was still done very quickly. A pleasure to work with this firm and the crew they sent to our home. We will continue to use Avant!!
